Lingang International diabetes Integrated Prevention Forum was successfully held In 2024

Summary:

From November 9 to 10, under the guidance of Lingang New Area Management Committee, Lingang International diabetes Integrated Prevention and Control Forum will be held in Lingang, Shanghai in 2024. The forum was co sponsored by the Asia-Pacific Alliance of Integrated Prevention and  Control of Diabetes （Macau） and Shanghai Lingang Fengxian Economic Development Co., Ltd., and co organized by Shanghai International Medical Center Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Shenjie Technology Development Co., Ltd. 30% funding support from the Lingang government. A total of 16 well-known experts at home and abroad delivered wonderful themes and keynote speeches at the forum: including five top international experts, including the current chairman of the International Atherosclerosis (AS) Association, the Australian academician who first proposed the concept of metabolism related fatty liver disease (MAFLD); Academicians in the fields of gastroenterology and cardiovascular medicine in China. From the perspective of endocrine, diabetes, cardiovascular and liver diseases, in-depth reports and discussions were carried out on issues such as integrated prevention and treatment of diabetes, research on metabolic diseases, new technologies and methods, and a consensus on the new concept of "four diseases (AS, T2DM, MAFLD, obesity) are treated together, and four diseases are prevented together" was initially reached, and this innovative content was incorporated into the "expert consensus on integrated prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes in China".
